Western Cape Annual
Graduation 2023

The IMASA Capetown Branch Annual Graduation, themed “FREE Palestine,” was a remarkable event that brought together 470 guests to celebrate the accomplishments of our 81 graduates from various medical and Health Science faculties. Held on December 8th, 2023, at the prestigious Islamia College venue, this year’s graduation paid tribute to the fallen heroes and healthcare workers in Gaza. Each graduate proudly displayed the name of a healthcare worker who tragically lost their life during the war, symbolising our unwavering support for the people of Palestine. The dress code further emphasized our solidarity with this cause.

Our esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Ortel, delivered an inspiring speech on the topic “Life is a Journey, not a Destination.” He eloquently elaborated on the importance of perseverance and staying focused on our life goals. His words resonated deeply with the audience, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, Albaraka Bank, for their unwavering support and Medrisk for sponsoring a corporate table at this event. We also express our sincere appreciation to the hardworking committee members who dedicated their time and effort to ensure that this event would be a memorable one for all our graduates.
As our graduates embark on their future endeavors, we wish them every success. We eagerly anticipate their active involvement and membership within IMASA, as they continue to make a positive impact in the medical and Health Science fields.
