Tshwane Annual
Graduation 2023
The IMASA Annual Graduations have been the highlight of the year, as Muslim graduates are invited to national events hosted by various IMASA branches. The IMASA Tshwane Branch recently hosted their event on December 9, 2023, at the Silver Crescent Hall in Laudium.
The program featured a keynote address by Prof Moosa Patel, a respected mentor in the medical field. Prof Patel shared essential tips for the young graduates who are now embarking on the next chapter of their lives as qualified health professionals.
During the event, honorary certificates were awarded to influential members of the organization and community. These individuals included Ml Abubakr Chougly, Dr Yusuf Carrim, Mr Abdul Kader Suliman, and the late Mr Arshad Akoob.
Newly qualified, Dr Taahir Makda was pleasantly surprised to receive not just one, but two well-deserved awards from the Tshwane Branch and the Student Wing of IMASA. These prestigious accolades serve as a testament to his unwavering dedication and passion throughout the years. Honoured with handover from his beloved father, Dr Yusuf Makda, a long standing member of IMASA Alhumdulillah.
The graduates themselves, Dr Hafez Riyadh Hoosen and Dr Hafez Mikaeel Gani had the honor of leading the Qiraat and closing duas whilst Prof Akhter Goolam Mahomed encouraged the graduates to become active members of IMASA, utilizing the organization as a pathway to serving mankind.
We would like to express our gratitude to ABSA, 27four Investment Managers, City Medical, AMKA, Nativa and Sanzaf for their generous sponsorship and support. Without their assistance, these events would not have been the resounding success that they were.
