HIGHLIGHTS OF THE IMASA JOHANNESBURG ANNUAL GRADUATION 2023
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the graduates and their families who attended the IMASA Annual Johannesburg Graduation 2023 on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, at the stunning venue, Lal Qila Sandton.
The highlight of the day was the well-deserved Student of the Year award presented to our dedicated Ms. Saajidah Motara, followed by the oath-taking of all graduates on stage, led by the esteemed Prof. Mohammed Tikly.
Our executive members, Dr. Ahmed Vachiat and Dr. Shoyab Wadee, ensured that the program ran smoothly and shared valuable insights on becoming a member of IMASA. They also touched on the unfortunate conditions of the current Gaza war and how we, as Muslim Health Professionals, can utilize IMASA to assist those in need.
With great joy, we officially welcome each of them to the medical fraternity and as members of IMASA.
The program began with a beautiful rendition of the Holy Quran by Qari Uwais Nurul Islam, followed by an insightful presentation by the representative of our main sponsor, Absa, Mufti Abdurrahmaan Dasoo.
The program included an inspiring talk by our Keynote Speaker, Mufti Humayd Ali, sharing invaluable naseega as the graduates embark on their professional journeys, prize giveaways by Independent Broker, Mr. Iqbal Omar from PPS, and a presentation by our ever-supportive sponsor, 27Four Investment Managers, Mr. Ridwaan Kajee.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from our Vice Chair, Dr. Zeenat Dadabhay, and a bittersweet farewell to two key members of the organization who will be pursuing their careers overseas; Ms Yumna Mahomed & Ms Rookaya Moolla.
We are grateful to all the graduates and their families for joining us on this special occasion. It was a memorable event filled with inspiration and celebration. We wish all the graduates success in their future endeavors as they embark on their journey in the medical field.
We eagerly anticipate witnessing our graduates achieve great success both within their respective fields and as active members of the organization.
