Branch Activities
The Klerksdorp Branch of IMASA was established in 2005 and includes Potchefstroom, Wolmaranstad, Ventersdorp, Mafikeng, Rustenburg and the Vryburg areas. In addition, for administrative purposes the Membership Department of IMASA has added Bloemfontein and Welkom to our office. With the support of the National Executive Committee of IMASA, we have a secretariat that manages the Branch. When the need arises, we provide wheelchairs to both our local hospital and elders in the community.
In 2015 to 2018 we conducted the Cataract Project at the Klerksdorp Government Hospital, a project initiated by Dr Shabbir Hussain of IMASA Gauteng Cataract Programme. The project was terminated due to the local hospital having 3 Ophthalmologists.
The Branch continues to facilitate and coordinate medical and outreach projects of benefit to the Klerksdorp community, headed by Dr M.I.A.H Rawat, long standing member of IMASA. We look forward to more local Health Professionals becoming actively involved driving these activities Inshaa Allah. We request dua’s from all who are reading this brochure.
