IMASA Carolina
Carolina is a small town in Mpumalanga with no official IMA Branch, however two dedicated IMASA members ie; Dr M Jina & Dr R Noor Mohamed are actively involved in rendering community work in Carolina and the surrounding rural areas. With the few initiatives at hand, they have ensured that these projects are in collaboration with IMASA and have successfully made an impact in the community especially during the difficult times of Covid19.
Some of the activities over the last two years incl: hamper distributions to the vulnerable and needy, IMASA in partnership with Al Imdaad coordinating the “Slice for Life” project at our local hospital, whereby sandwiches are distributed daily to patients waiting to be attended to, fabric face masks were distributed during the pandemic to schools, prison, hospital, clinics, old age homes, at dawah centres, orphanages, centres for the vulnerable, retail stores and at pension pay points, “Staying Safe Campaigns” were initiated during the pandemic, more than 10 wheelchairs and walking aids were distributed to the aged and ill and our local community coordinated an “Oxygen Concentrator” project. IMASA assisted with concentrators when there was a shortage and a very dynamic Burial Committee was initiated by Dr Jina for the benefit of both local and surrounding communities Alhumdulillah. May the Almighty bless all who have assisted and participated in these projects.
